A Night to Honor: Celebrate Omani Women’s Day with This Concert at the Royal Opera House

The Royal Opera House Muscat will host a stirring concert in honor of Omani Women’s Day, showcasing musical excellence and cultural pride on 17 October at 7:00 p.m.

This year’s program brings together the ROSO Ladies’ Ensemble (the women’s ensemble of the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra) alongside Egypt’s Al Nour Wal Amal Orchestra (the world’s first visually impaired women’s orchestra), and Moroccan-French pianist Nour Ayadi

The concert is more than a performance — it is a tribute to the determination, creativity, and cultural contributions of Omani women. Through orchestral works spanning Western and Arab repertoire, the event highlights cross-cultural collaboration and the artistic voice of women in the region.

As the ROSO Ladies open with works such as Handel’s Minuet and selections re-arranged by Omani composer Hamdan bin Said Al Shuaili, they affirm their role in Oman’s evolving musical landscape. Following them, Al Nour Wal Amal will perform pieces from Mozart, Strauss, Shostakovich, and Arab composers, and Nour Ayadi will take center stage with Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 12 and Liszt solos.

Audiences attending can expect a powerful blend of heritage, virtuosity, and solidarity. This concert underscores the power of music to unite and uplift. If you plan to attend, tickets can be booked via the ROHM website or box office — make sure to secure yours ahead of time, as this landmark event draws wide interest.

Join the celebration, applaud the performers, and be part of an evening where Omani women’s voices resonate through every note.
