Comedian and satirist Bassem Youssef lands in Oman for a stand-up special at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Renowned Egyptian-American comedian and satirist Bassem Youssef is set to perform in Oman, marking a major entertainment moment for the region. On 21 November 2025, Youssef will take the stage at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) in Muscat for a one-of-a-kind solo comedy show. 

Youssef made his name combining sharp political commentary with personal insight—once a heart surgeon in Cairo, he pivoted into satirical comedy and became known as “The Egyptian Jon Stewart”.

His live shows are known to blend humor with culture, identity, and media critique, making his upcoming Oman show an event of interest for comedy fans and cultural observers alike.

The decision to bring Youssef to Muscat underscores Oman’s growing appetite for high-profile entertainment and live comedy events. Attendees can expect an English-language performance, opening at 9 p.m. with doors from 8 p.m., and tickets starting from 19.90 OMR.
