Dunia Helwa & SHEIN Partner to Support Jad’s Inclusion Kids

In line with its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, SHEIN, in collaboration with Dunia Helwa – part of 7awi Media Group – supported a special humanitarian event at Jad’s Inclusion Center, where hope, joy, and compassion came together in an exceptional day dedicated to children with special needs. The initiative was held under the themes “Powered by Love” and “A World That Understands Them.”

This event forms part of SHEIN’s long-term commitment to supporting the neurodiverse community, as the brand continues to invest in initiatives that empower children with special needs and provide more inclusive environments for them—believing in their abilities and their right to an equitable future.

Founded by Rana Akkad and named after her son Jad, Jad’s Inclusion Center aims to integrate children with special needs into society through an inclusive educational environment that nurtures their growth and development.

The event began with a heartfelt speech delivered by one of the students at the center, a child with special needs, who expressed her gratitude to SHEIN and Dunia Helwa for their support and care—adding a warm and deeply human touch to the day.

Rana Akkad, Founder of Jad’s Inclusion Center, officially opened the event with an emotional and appreciative speech, expressing her gratitude to SHEIN and Dunia Helwa for an initiative that reflects true belief in the children’s abilities and dreams. She stated:

“Moments like these fill me with deep hope and happiness. They show that there are companies and individuals who believe in our vision and contribute to strengthening the integration of these children into society.”

She added:

“Jad’s Inclusion Center provides support for the entire family, not just the children, by creating an inclusive environment that nurtures their growth and development.”

The highlight of the event was the inauguration of the integrated Sensory Room, equipped with carefully selected sensory materials and interactive tools designed to enhance sensory perception, soothe the senses, and develop motor and cognitive skills. SHEIN donated a valuable selection of sensory tools and toys, allowing each child to enjoy a safe and supportive space for exploration and play—reinforcing the brand’s long-term efforts to support neurodivergent children.

Throughout the event, the venue was filled with the laughter and excitement of children enjoying a series of entertainment and educational activities tailored to their needs, including motor games, safe face and hand painting, and magic and illusion shows that added a sense of wonder and delight.

Representatives from SHEIN and the Dunia Helwa team engaged with the children throughout the day—not as guests, but as friends sharing moments of play, laughter, and discovery—highlighting the values of compassion and inclusivity at the heart of the initiative.

Rana Akkad further emphasized:

“My message to society is that we must correct the misconceptions surrounding people of determination. These children are not less capable; they are different, with unique talents from which we can all benefit. It is crucial to identify each child’s abilities, nurture them, and give them space to express their creativity.”

She also elaborated on the center’s philosophy:

“Jad’s Inclusion Center is designed for children who are not accepted into mainstream schools, yet whose needs are not complex enough to place them in centers for severe conditions. Since the center was established ten years ago, many children from various countries have joined us. Our mission is to integrate children based on their abilities and to empower each one to find their rightful place in society—whether in education or in the workplace.”

This initiative is part of SHEIN and Dunia Helwa’s broader efforts to highlight the importance of supporting children with special needs and to reinforce investment in a more inclusive and compassionate future.
