Oman Unveils Tallest Flagpole in Muscat Ceremony
Muscat Celebrates the Inauguration of Oman’s Tallest Flagpole at Al Khuwair Square
Muscat inaugurated the tallest flagpole in Oman at 126 meters on Thursday, May 22, in a grand ceremony.
The inauguration happened in the presence of the Governor of Muscat, His Excellency Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, and the Chairman of Muscat Municipality, His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Hamidi
The inauguration was complemented by music from a police band.
The flagpole's location is now called Al Khuwair Square, which is expected to become a popular landmark in the Sultanate.
The square spans over 21,000 meters and features various recreational facilities including green spaces, walking and cycling paths, open-air art and handicraft exhibition, a skateboarding area, and a sports zone.
