The field of modern physics defines the concept of the gravitation, which is the curving of space-time due to the masses and energy. However, examination of galaxies indicates a gross impossibility. The stars at the edges of the galaxies are moving much faster than it can be explained by the visible matter. Galaxies would not just fly apart unless there is an invisible force that pulls them together. Scientists explain this difference by a mysterious element which is referred to as the dark matter, a particle or substance that does not radiate light but has a gravitational effect.
