Karim Khan, the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), has been suspended pending a final vote by the court's member states, following an 18-month investigation into allegations of sexual harassment. The ICC's Executive Bureau announced on Monday that it had concluded its disciplinary proceedings against Mr. Khan and referred the matter to the Assembly of States Parties (ASP). The bureau stated that the decision and related documentation would remain confidential, noting that the conclusion would be sent to all 125 member states for a special session vote at a later date.

"The decision is unlawful, procedurally unfair and unsupported by evidence," the statement read. Khan, who has not led the Office of the Prosecutor since May when he took a voluntary leave of absence, has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
