5 cups milk, full cream
1/4 cup rice (washed)
1/2 cup sugar
4 green cardamoms
10-12 raisins
10-12 almonds, shredded and blanched

  1. Boil rice and milk

    Boil the rice and milk together in a deep pan.
  2. Simmer the mixture

    Lower the heat and constantly stir till the rice is well-cooked and milk has thickened.
  3. Add other ingredients

    Add sugar, cardamom, and raisins to the mixture. Stir the milk till the sugar is properly dissolved.
  4. Serve

    Pour the pudding into serving bowls and let the kheer cool down. Garnish the kheer with almonds and serve it.
