Oman’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has approved Air Tanzania to launch direct flights between Muscat and the Tanzanian cities of Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar, boosting air links between Oman and Tanzania.

According to the approval, Air Tanzania will operate three weekly flights on the Muscat–Dar es Salaam–Zanzibar route, with services set to begin on 25 July 2026.

The new route is expected to make travel easier for tourists, business travellers, and the Tanzanian community in Oman, while also supporting tourism, trade, and economic ties between the two countries.
