Abu Dhabi announced introducing a new model that allows Emirati couples to adopt children deprived of parental care in Abu Dhabi.

According to Khaleej Times, Dr. Bushra Al Mulla, executive director of the Community Development Sector explained: “An integrated system will be developed according to best international practices and standards to organize the process of adopting children of different ages deprived of parental care by providing necessary support to Emirati families for adopting them, especially children of determination, and those aged two and above.”

As all adoption processes go, the parents will be provided with careful care and support throughout their journey.

Close analysis will take place for the families to then potentially move on to the adoption option later after close analysis after granting a temporary guardianship.

The support groups will give families the opportunity to meet and share their experiences together.
