Expo 2020 Dubai no longer mandates masks in outdoor areas.

The ‘World’s Greatest Show’ organizer confirmed that wearing masks is now optional in an open area but still encourages visitors to wear them.

They added that Expo 2020's COVID-19 preventive measures will continue to include the mandatory wearing of masks indoors.

"Health and safety remains a key priority, with stringent rules in place across the site. All Expo visitors aged 18 and above must show either proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test result taken within the previous 72 hours," organisers said in a statement.

This came after the UAE announced optional wearing of masks in outdoor areas on Friday.
