Pakistani cricketer Shaheen Shah Afridi and his wife Ansha Afridi are going to be parents!
The news came from the Pakistan national team's coach Jason Gillispie who explained that the star pacer will miss the team's test matches with Bangladesh because of his wife's expected childbirth.
Ansha Afridi is former cricketer Shahid Afridi's daughter and she got married to Shaheen Afridi in February 2023 in Karachi, but the wedding and reception were hosted in September of the same year.
The wedding was attended by cricket stars Babar Azam, Misbah-ul-Haq, Saeed Anwer, Sohail Khan, Tanveer Ahmed, and others.
Shaheen Shah Afridi was recently accused of misbehaving with the batting coach Mohammad Yousuf during Pakistan’s tour to England, before the T20 World Cup 2024.
Afridi also turned down the role of vice-captain to his team offered to him by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
