The largest snow park in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region was formally opened at the Mall of Oman on Monday in the presence of Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP), members of the Majid al Futtaim Group, and other invited guests.
The first and only indoor snow destination in the sultanate, Snow Oman is the largest indoor snow park in the MENA area, measuring 14,830 square meters. In addition to a 430-meter ice rink and a colony of king and gentoo penguins, it has more than 20 family-friendly rides and activities such as the Zorb ball, cloud climber, snow bullet, slide winder, and mountain thriller.
Majid al-Futtaim made the unthinkable reality in 2005 by opening the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East, Ski Dubai, and bringing actual snow to the desert. A little more than 10 years later, it widened its scope with the debut of Ski Egypt.
