The permit that would have allowed Travis Scott to perform at the Giza Pyramids has been cancelled by Egypt's Musician Syndicate.

Earlier in July, the multi-award-winning American rapper Travis Scott confirmed his first-ever appearance in Egypt.

The event, which was scheduled to take place at the Great Pyramids of Giza, sparked a boycott campaign on Egyptian social media due to the artist's controversial nature of his performances, which some claim contain “satanic” iconography.
