Drones Target Fuel Tanks at Duqm Port, One Worker Injured

Two drones targeted the commercial port of Duqm in the Sultanate of Oman, injuring one expatriate worker on Tuesday, March 3, according to security sources and official reports.

A security source confirmed the incident, noting that one of the drones struck a mobile housing unit used by workers, resulting in the injury of an expatriate employee.

Debris from the second drone fell in the vicinity of the port’s fuel storage tanks, but fortunately caused no material damage to the tanks themselves and no further casualties were reported, according to Oman News Agency.

The Sultanate of Oman has strongly condemned the drone attack and stated that authorities are taking all necessary measures to address the situation and ensure the safety of the nation and its residents.

The commercial port of Duqm, a key maritime and economic hub on Oman’s Arabian Sea coast, has not reported damage to critical infrastructure in the fuel storage area. Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
