Musandam Governate Switches to Online Learning

All schools in the Musandam Governorate have switched to online learning until the end of the week, the Ministry of Education announced in a statement on Sunday, March 1.

The decision to operate classes remotely from Monday through Friday comes “due to the current developments in the region,” the ministry said, adding that the safety and welfare of students and staff remain the foremost priority.

In its statement, the Ministry of Education noted that officials will “continue to assess the situation and keep you updated on any developments,” affirming that any changes to the remote learning schedule will be communicated through official channels.

The shift to online learning follows precautionary measures taken by several Gulf countries in recent days in response to heightened regional tensions. Authorities across the region have implemented similar distance-learning directives to ensure uninterrupted education while prioritising public safety.

Students, parents, and educators in Musandam are advised to stay informed through official Ministry of Education communications for details on online class schedules and any future decisions regarding the return to in-person schooling.
