ASUS, in collaboration with Intel, has opened a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab at the Directorate-General of Education in Al Dhahirah Governorate in Ibri, Oman. This is ASUS Education’s first AI-focused project in the region, and it supports the growing use of AI in education.

The AI Lab is part of Oman’s wider efforts to help students build digital skills, support teachers, and encourage research. It also aligns with Oman Vision 2040, which aims to strengthen the country’s position in AI readiness and support a knowledge-based economy.

ASUS designed the AI Lab with AI-ready devices for classrooms, labs, and research use. The setup includes rugged Chromebooks, AI PCs, all-in-one PCs, and high-performance devices for advanced learning needs. These devices are built to support hybrid learning, with long battery life, strong connectivity, and sustainable design.

The devices are powered by Intel Core Ultra processors, which include AI features for productivity, creativity, and performance. AI acceleration is built into the processor through CPU, GPU, and NPU engines working together to support AI applications. ASUS hardware, Intel technology, and local support from Bahwan Projects and Telecoms come together in this project to provide a practical AI learning environment.

Some of the ASUS products available in the AI Lab include the ExpertBook P3405, P5405, B1403, and B3405 business laptops, along with All-in-One PCs.

The launch of the AI Lab supports the Ministry of Education’s direction to use AI in education and help students develop new skills. It also contributes to Oman’s National Program for Artificial Intelligence and the goals of Vision 2040.

This new lab is expected to give students and educators access to modern tools for learning, teaching, and research in the field of AI.
