The issuance and renewal of identity cards will be temporarily suspended on Oct. 22 and Oct. 29 in Oman, according to the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

These services will be temporarily halted because of the voting for the Shura Council polls.

To avoid disruption in the voting process for the tenth term elections for the Shura Council, the services for ID cards will be halted on these days.

However, the ROP shared that services for passports, birth and death certificates, and residence cards will be provided on these days, regardless of the elections.

If you want to get your ID card issued or renewed it is best to do it before the above-mentioned dates or you can schedule on a later date.
