Oman has announced official holidays for both public and private sector employees on November 26 and 27, 2025. Work across all sectors will resume on Sunday, November 30.

This marks the first time the country will observe National Day over two days, giving everyone more time to celebrate and enjoy the festivities.

Royal Decree Expands Celebrations

The extended holiday comes after His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued Royal Decree No. 15/2025, amending the previous decree on official holidays. National Day will now be observed annually on November 20 and 21, instead of the previous single day on November 18.

The change aims to give citizens and residents extra time to honor Oman’s independence, celebrate its rich cultural heritage, and strengthen national unity.

More Time to Celebrate

With the new two-day holiday, Omanis and residents can fully participate in events, parades, and cultural activities, making National Day a bigger, more inclusive celebration than ever before.
