HM Sultan Haitham Pardons 207 Prisoners on Accession Day

Oman's Sultan and Prime Minister His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has issued a royal pardon for 207 prisoners on the occasion of Accession Day on Jan. 11.
The 207 prisoners who were pardoned included Omani citizens and foreigners.
Accession Day in Oman
The private and public sectors are given a day off on Jan. 11, so employees from both sectors will enjoy a long, three-day weekend to relax and celebrate the occasion.
HM Sultan received many cables of well wishes from other countries, the Royal Family, senior officials, and many others.
To enjoy the long weekend, residents can visit the famous cultural landmarks in Oman, have a fun beach day at any of Oman's best beaches, or visit the National Museum.
