The Central Bank of Oman has announced a special silver commemorative coin for the FIFA World Cup 2026. The coin was created in cooperation with FIFA and made to high technical standards using 99.9 per cent pure silver.

The coin comes with a face value of one Omani Riyal. It has a diameter of 38.61 mm and weighs 28.28 grams. In total, 5,000 coins have been minted. Out of these, 1,000 coins will be sold in Oman, while the remaining 4,000 coins will be marketed internationally through FIFA-authorised distributors.

The Central Bank of Oman confirmed that the coin is legal tender at its nominal value. It will be available from June 30 at the bank’s branches in Ruwi, Salalah and Sohar, as well as Oman Post’s sales outlet at Opera Galleria.

The starting price for the FIFA World Cup 2026 silver commemorative coin is OMR73 per coin. The price may change depending on global silver prices.
