Oman aims to create 500,000 jobs in its tourism sector by 2040, which was revealed at the Arabian Travel Market. 

The Manager from the Oman Investment Authority Dr. Lubna bint Badr shared at the Middle East Tourism Session that the authority is aiming to increase job opportunities in the local tourism sector, which will also include a significant number of opportunities for female employees.

The authority is already launching new education, training, and employment initiatives to strengthen the tourism sector. 

Dr. Lubna also emphasized that employing women in the tourism sector has been a top priority. She shared how women work across various sectors in the local tourism industry including hotels, airlines, restaurants, tours, and others.
