Israel Releases Remaining 3 Madleen Volunteers

The remaining three volunteers from the Freedom Flotilla's Madleen were released from Israeli detention on Monday, June 16, the coalition revealed.

The three volunteers are returning to their home countries via Jordan. The volunteers are Pascal Maurieras (France), Marco Venne Rennes (Netherlands), and Yanis Mhamdi (France).

The three volunteers remained in Israel after the country attacked Iran and closed its airspace.

The Israeli human rights organization, Adalah, previously said that it would take a month for the remaining volunteers to be released because of the escalating tensions between the two countries.

Five volunteers were released on Friday, June 13, including EU MEP Rima Hassan. Swedish climate activist, Greta Thunberg, and three other volunteers were deported on Tuesday, June 10.
