Royal Oman Police detain suspect in Barka for vehicle theft and related commercial thefts in Seeb; authorities complete legal procedures.

The Muscat Governorate Police Command has arrested a man accused of stealing a vehicle in the Wilayat of Barka and thereafter using it to carry out multiple thefts targeting commercial shops in the Wilayat of Seeb, authorities confirmed on Monday, January 19.
According to a statement from the police, the suspect was identified following reports of a stolen vehicle being used in a series of shop break-ins. A coordinated investigation led to his apprehension by security forces acting on credible information.
Police said the suspect allegedly drove the stolen vehicle to various shop locations in Seeb where he carried out thefts before being tracked down by officers. The swift action by the Royal Oman Police helped bring the case to a close.
Authorities have confirmed that legal procedures against the suspect have been completed and the case will proceed through the judicial system in accordance with Omani law.
