New Shinas Public Park Opens in Oman’s North Al Batinah

Shinas Public Park was officially opened on Wednesday, January 14, by the North Al Batinah Municipality, marking a major addition to recreational facilities in the Wilayat of Shinas and expanding leisure options for residents and visitors.
The opening ceremony, held under the auspices of Sheikh Abdullah Salim Al Hajri, Wali of Shinas, highlighted the project’s goal of boosting community well-being by providing vibrant outdoor spaces for people of all ages.
Designed to suit different age groups, the park offers a welcoming environment for both relaxation and physical activity.
The new park features a range of amenities, including:
- Decorative fountains and shaded seating areas
- A children’s play zone with 15 games
- A sprint racing track for fitness enthusiasts
- A versatile sports playground that accommodates various activities
- Extensive green spaces covering over 14,000 square metres that enrich the landscape and promote environmental sustainability
Shinas Public Park is expected to become a central destination for families, youth and sports lovers, encouraging outdoor engagement and fostering a healthier lifestyle in the region.
