Significance of Eid Al Adha
Eid Al Adha, also known as the "Feast of Sacrifice," is one of the most important festivals in the Islamic calendar. It commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to God. The festival involves special prayers, charitable acts, and the ritual sacrifice of animals, symbolizing devotion and generosity.

Oman's announcement aligns with other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. For instance, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have also confirmed Eid Al Adha on June 6, 2025, following similar moon sightings.
