Route and Restrictions
The race will launch precisely at 3 PM from Al Kharijiya Roundabout and proceed along Al Shati Street in Al Qurum, passing near Al Shati Roundabout before returning along the same stretch to conclude back on Al Shati Street.
In preparation for the event:
- Parking will be prohibited on both sides of the roads adjacent to the race route.
- Drivers are advised to avoid the area during peak race hours and seek alternative routes where possible to minimise delays.
Motorist Guidance
The ROP’s advisory emphasises that motorists should be vigilant and comply with all traffic instructions and signage in place. This temporary closure is part of regular procedures aimed at facilitating mass sporting events such as the Ironman series, which attract a broad cross-section of participants and fans to Oman.
Residents and visitors in the Muscat area are encouraged to plan their travel ahead of time around the race hours, particularly between mid-afternoon and early evening, to avoid congestion around Al Qurum.
