SABCO Media, one of Oman’s top media groups, has officially appointed Omar Othman as its new chief executive officer. The move marks a major step in the company’s strategy to grow and innovate across the region’s fast-changing media landscape.
SABCO Media is part of the broader SABCO Group, which was established in 1977. The group runs across several sectors, including real estate, perfumes, sports, and of course, media. Under SABCO Media, the company operates SABCO Art, SABCO Media, and SABCO Press, with key activities in radio broadcasting, digital media, TV production, and outdoor advertising.
Describing Othman’s appointment as a “key milestone,” the company says this leadership change comes at a time when SABCO Media is entering “a new phase of innovation and growth.”
Sayyid Khalid bin Hamad Al-Busaidi, Chairman of SABCO Media, expressed full confidence in the new CEO’s ability to lead the group forward.

Omar Othman brings over 20 years of experience in media, digital transformation, and strategic partnerships. He’s worked with some of the biggest names in the region, including Al Aan TV, OSN, and MBC Group. Throughout his career, he’s led major efforts in content development, digital expansion, and forming strong commercial partnerships across TV, streaming, and integrated media services.
