Ali Khamenei has denied that Iran or its allied forces were behind recent attacks targeting Oman and Turkey.
The statement was released Friday via his official Telegram channel, coinciding with a message marking the start of the Persian New Year.
Clear denial amid tensions
Khamenei said the attacks were not carried out by Iran, pushing back against speculation linking the country to the incidents.
The remarks come as regional tensions remain high, with multiple security incidents reported across the Middle East in recent days.
New year message focus
Alongside the denial, Khamenei also outlined this year’s theme as a “resistance economy under national unity and national security,” signaling a continued focus on internal strength and stability.
What it means
While the statement addresses growing concerns over Iran’s role in regional conflicts, it does little to ease the broader uncertainty as investigations into the attacks continue.
