Oman has introduced a new fee schedule for citizenship and nationality requests, effective January 4, 2026, according to the Sultanate’s Official Gazette.
The fee for submitting an Omani citizenship application is now OMR 600. This applies to foreign women married to Omani nationals, widows or divorced spouses of Omanis, and the minor children of Omani women.
Fee for Relinquishing Nationality
Requests to withdraw or relinquish Omani nationality will now cost OMR 200, marking the first formal fee for this service.
No Changes to Eligibility
Authorities emphasized that eligibility criteria and legal requirements remain unchanged. The update only standardizes application and service fees for citizenship and nationality matters across the country.
