Omani Citizens Can Now Obtain Six-Month Russian Tourist Visa

Citizens of Oman can obtain a six-month Russian tourist visa, according to the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation.

The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman shared that the Russian Federation has allowed Omani citizens to apply for six-month tourist visas to visit Russia, based on the order of the Government of the Russian Federation 372 (issued on February 16, 2023). They can apply after they have confirmed a hotel reservation or some other place of residence. 

The decision was implemented on March 6th, 2023. According to the new regulations, Omani citizens can also apply for a single or double-entry tourist visa valid for three months by providing a confirmation of a hotel booking. The same conditions apply to multiple-entry tourist visas with their validity extended to six months. 

Omani citizens will be able to apply for tourist visas to Russian diplomatic missions or consular departments, by providing some necessary documents, which include: a passport valid for no less than six months from the date of travel, a completed visa form, a receipt for payment of fees for visa and health insurance, and a confirmed hotel reservation or any other residence.
