Oprah Winfrey Enjoys Her Time in Jordan

Last week, Oprah Winfrey, a well-known American TV show and media powerhouse, traveled to Jordan's Petra with her close friend, the TV personality Gayle King.

Oprah visited the historical and archaeological city, which goes by the name "Rose City," which is renowned as one of the most well-known locations in the world where Hellenistic architecture and traditions from the ancient Eastern coexist.

Winfrey was seen riding a camel and visiting the location where John the Baptist baptized Jesus in fun photographs she posted to her Instagram account while in Petra on several tours and adventuring across Indiana Jones' beautiful boulders. King also posted some images from the trip, including one of her visiting a market stand in Amman, the capital of Jordan.

She captioned her images from the trip saying, “Visited Jordan this week and there was so much to see and experience! We visited the site where John the Baptist baptized Jesus, Petra and all its fascinations, camels, and the spot where the big boulder comes rolling out of Indiana Jones. So much history there in the ‘Rose City,’ voted one of the 7 new wonders of the world. It takes 3 days to really see it all we only spent 3 hours. Put it on your must-see list if you haven’t already!”

Oprah and King were also seen wearing the farwa during their trip to Jordan, a traditional bedouin robe used to survive in the cold.
