Why certain fads seem appealing at first but fall apart under closer examination

Most of the ideas are popular due to being easy, emotional, or popular on the internet. Again, though, simplicity is not necessarily synonymous with accuracy. Individuals tend to subscribe to statements that validate their pre-existing beliefs or ease of fixing. Behavioral psychology studies indicate thinking biases, e.g., confirmation bias and the Dunning Kruger effect, do influence the way people assess information. By taking a second glance at the easy patterns of thinking, one can find out why some ideas seem brilliant in the initial stages but cannot stand the test of critical thinking.
