A popular Yemeni adventurer, known to thousands of social media followers as the "Spider-Man of Yemen," has sadly passed away. Authorities confirmed he fell into a volcanic crater during a climb without safety ropes.

The 30-year-old adventurer, Al Qa'qa' bin Antar, was climbing the steep walls of the Haradhat Damt volcanic crater in Al Dhale province on Friday. He lost his grip and fell into the crater, which is about 120 meters deep.

Bin Antar was famous online for his brave climbing videos. He loved scaling high cliffs, mountains, and volcanic formations across Yemen without any protective gear like ropes or harnesses. This earned him his famous nickname, the "Spider-Man of Yemen."

Civil Defence teams recovered his body on Saturday. The rescue operation took nearly 24 hours. Rescue teams faced very difficult conditions due to the steep terrain and the deep, hard-to-reach area inside the crater.

Also known as Antar Al Absi, he was one of the most recognized adventure content creators in Yemen. Many people loved watching his daring climbs and his passion for exploring the country's beautiful but rugged nature.
