The statement criticized Israel’s actions as violations of international law and the UN Charter, stressing the need to respect the sovereignty of states, uphold good neighborly relations, and pursue peaceful conflict resolution.

The foreign ministers also emphasized the urgent need to keep the Middle East free of nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction, in line with international resolutions. They urged all countries in the region to sign the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) without exception.

The group also strongly opposed any targeting of nuclear facilities that fall under International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards, calling such actions a violation of international and humanitarian law under the Geneva Convention of 1949.

In addition, the statement urged the resumption of talks on Iran’s nuclear program, insisting that negotiations are the only sustainable path to resolving tensions. The ministers also reaffirmed the importance of freedom of navigation and maritime security, especially in international waterways.

Above all, the 20 countries stressed that military solutions will not resolve the crisis. They called for a return to dialogue, diplomacy, and adherence to the UN Charter to restore peace in the region.
