2.9 Million Tourists Visit Oman in 2022; 348% Growth in Arrivals

About 2.9 million tourists visited Oman in 2022, an increase of 348 percent compared to 2021, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

Some 1.9 million visitors come from UAE, while 335,460 come from India, followed by 106,529 from Yemen, and 41,829 from Germany.

As for hotels, the total number of guests in 3- to 5-star hotels in Oman reached 1.45 million by the end of November 2022, up from 1.8 million during the same period a year prior, an increase of 33.9 percent. 

3- to 5-star hotels in the country recorded revenues of RO 161.26 million ($418.85 million) by the end of November 2022, a 91.7 percent year-on-year increase.
