A drone attack targeted Oman’s Port of Salalah, with some unmanned aircraft intercepted while others managed to hit fuel storage tanks inside the port area. The good news: no one was hurt.

According to a security source, several drones were shot down, but a few struck fuel tanks at the port. Authorities confirmed that the incident caused no human casualties.

Fuel Tanks Hit at Key Omani Port

The Port of Salalah, one of Oman’s major shipping hubs on the Arabian Sea, became the latest site hit by aerial attacks amid rising regional tensions.

Reports said drones targeted oil storage facilities inside the port, damaging fuel tanks. However, there were no reported injuries and no merchant vessels in the area were affected by the strike.

Officials also said air defense systems managed to intercept several of the incoming drones before they reached their targets.

Incident Linked to Wider Gulf Tensions

The attack comes as security risks grow across the Gulf region following the escalation of conflict tied to the wider Middle East crisis.

In recent weeks, several maritime incidents and drone attacks have been reported around key energy and shipping routes, raising concerns about the safety of critical infrastructure and trade flows in the area.

Despite the strike, authorities confirmed that there were no casualties and that the situation at the port remains under control.
