More Than 30 Expats Arrested and 7 Boats Seized in Oman

More than 30 expats have been arrested and 7 unlicensed boats have been seized for illegal fishing in Al Wusta Governate.
The arrest was carried out by The Fisheries Control Team in Al Wusta Governorate, in cooperation with the Coast Guard Unit in Duqm in the Wilayats of Duqm and Mahut.
Twenty-four expat workers were arrested in Mahut and 12 expat workers were arrested in Duqm for fishing without licenses. The team also seized 7 boats, which were also unlicensed.
Legal measures are being taken against the arrested people.
