The Oman Meteorology Department announced that a low-pressure system is forecast to sweep across the country starting Tuesday evening and continue through Thursday morning. This weather pattern is predicted to bring scattered rainfall of varying intensity, frequently accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds.
Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant, as heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding in wadis and low-lying areas, while visibility is anticipated to drop significantly during periods of intense precipitation.
The National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Centre, part of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), provided additional details, stating that cloud activity is likely to intensify on Tuesday over governorates including Musandam, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, North Al Batinah, Al Wusta, and Dhofar. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in these regions, although the risk of flash floods will remain relatively limited. Winds have been forecasted to reach speeds of 10 to 20 knots.
With unpredictable weather conditions on the horizon, authorities have called on citizens and residents to stay updated through official channels and adhere to safety precautions.
