Oman’s Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) is warning the public to stay alert as heavy rainfall triggers active and potentially dangerous wadi flows in several areas.

The CDAA stressed the need to follow official safety alerts and instructions. Public cooperation is key to protecting lives and property during severe weather.

Advice for Motorists and Families

  • Drivers: Slow down, keep safe distances, and avoid low-lying or waterlogged areas.

  • Parents: Keep children away from wadis, flooded spots, or standing water.

The authority also warned against crossing flooded roads or approaching water bodies, as these actions can be extremely dangerous.
