Dhofar’s cultural stage lit up this week as two Omani contestants secured the top spots at the highly anticipated “Voice of the Season 2025” competition, held during the closing ceremony of the Al Sarb Cultural Festival marking Dhofar Governorate’s spring tourism season.
Khalid bin Salim Al Amri clinched first place, earning the highest combined score from both the adjudicating panel and public voting. Fellow Omani contestant Said Al Shammali Zaabanoot secured second place, while Kuwaiti talent Abdul-Hadi Al Murri followed in third.
Organized by the Dhofar Centre for Culture, Heritage and Creativity, part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the competition began on 9 October 2025 and aimed to spotlight emerging Gulf vocal talents while promoting the region’s artistic heritage.
The winners were honored in a ceremony held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Mohammed bin Salim Al Said, adding prestige to the event’s finale.
A spirited “National Operetta” closed the evening, featuring dynamic performances from the eight finalists who delivered powerful chanting showcases that celebrated Omani and Gulf cultural traditions.
