Oman Air Joins Oneworld Alliance, Unlocking Global Perks

Big win for jet-setters: Oman Air officially joined the Oneworld airline alliance on July 1, 2025, becoming its 15th full member. The Muscat-based airline brings fresh Gulf vibes and a premium edge to one of the world’s most recognized airline alliances.

This strategic move marks a major milestone for Oman Air—and for travelers looking for smoother global connections. Now part of the Oneworld family, which includes Qatar Airways and Royal Jordanian, Oman Air expands the alliance’s reach across the Middle East with access to 42 destinations in 22 countries.

“This partnership opens up exciting new connections for our customers, particularly across the Gulf and South Asia,” said Nat Pieper, CEO of Oneworld. “Oman Air brings valuable strategic reach and award-winning product and service to the alliance.”

The timing couldn’t be better: Oman Air’s new Muscat–Amsterdam route also launched on July 1, giving Oneworld passengers another European gateway.

What’s in It for You?
Frequent flyers with Oneworld’s Emerald, Sapphire, or Ruby status will now enjoy perks on Oman Air too—think priority check-in, boarding, and access to lounges (including those shiny new Oneworld-branded lounges in Amsterdam and Seoul). And if you're flying Oman Air business class? You’ve just scored entry into 700+ airport lounges worldwide.

“Oman Air is honoured to be joining the Oneworld alliance,” said Con Korfiatis, the airline’s CEO. “Our new membership gives travellers around the globe more options and a better, more connected experience.”
