The SAF Museum is Closed for Maintenance Until This Date

The Sultan Armed Forces (SAF) Museum at Bait Al Falaj Fort in Muttrah will be closed until Sunday, Dec. 17 because of maintenance work. 

The museum was first inaugurated in 1988, which offers visitors an insight into the military history of Oman. 

The museum showcases weapons, uniforms, instruments, and other defence systems, which were part of the Sultanate's armed forces over the years.

The SAF Museum also has an outdoor showcase, which features previously used vehicles, tanks, and aircraft of the SAF. 

The Sultanate also celebrated the Sultan Armed Forces Day on Monday, Dec. 11. 

If you didn't get a chance to check out the SAF Museum on that occasion, you will be able to check out the museum after Dec. 17.
