The Ajwaa Al-Ashkharah Festival will kick off in Oman from Wednesday, July 5th, to Monday, July 24th, at Ashkharah Park.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT), in collaboration with the Office of the Governor of South Sharqiyah.

The festival will be opened under the patronage of His Excellency Salim bin Mohammad al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, in the presence of Yahya Badr Malik al Ma'awali, Governor of South Sharqiyah.

It will include an array of entertainment, promotional and cultural events aimed to achieve various economic and social goals, including a heritage corner, fun games, beach games and cultural activities.

Additionally, kite flying activities will be held in the main events of the festival, adding to the festive ambiance.

"The primary goal of the festival is to promote tourist destinations and support domestic tourism, empowering the governorate to take a leading role in this initiative. It will also serve as a unique opportunity to showcase the archaeological and cultural sites of the governorate to visitors," Sheikh Mohamed bin Humaid al Ghabshi, Wali of Jalan Bani Bu Ali and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said.
