Another security scare has hit one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes.

A Malta-flagged cargo ship came under fire from two missiles near the Strait of Hormuz, according to reports.

24 Crew Members Rescued

The Oman News Agency said Oman’s navy stepped in and rescued all 24 crew members from the vessel.

The sailors were given medical care and are reported to be in good health.

Why This Matters

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the most critical routes for global oil and cargo shipments. Any attack in the area instantly raises concerns about maritime safety and regional stability.

For now, the crew is safe — but the incident adds fresh tension to already sensitive waters.
