A Night Padel Tournament Will Take Place in Muscat From May 5th to 7th

A Muscat Nights Padel Tennis Tournament will kick off from May 5th until May 7th at Oman Automobile Association.

The tournament -- which will be held in male and female categories -- is organized by Muscat Municipality, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth.

The registration fee for teams is RO25 and the registration deadline is today, May 2nd, so reserve your spot now!

The top three winning teams will receive cash prizes and medals.

Padel, sometimes called Padel Tennis, is a racket sport typically played in doubles on an enclosed court roughly 25% smaller than the size of a tennis court. 

It is like a cross between tennis and squash where the ball can bounce off the glass wall or metal mesh that surrounds the court.

The sport -- which originates from Mexico -- is played in more than 90 countries worldwide, according to the International Padel Federation. It is a hit in Spain, Italy, Andorra, Argentina, the UK, and the US.
