Oman climbed 4 points in the index of the 50 best tourist destinations in the Middle East, ranking 12th in the index, up from 16th place it secured during the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2022, according to a report by the famous search engine for airline and hotel reservations, Wego.

Egypt topped the ranking as the preferred destination for travelers from the Middle East and North Africa, followed by Saudi Arabia, India, and the UAE.
The report revealed that Oman was the largest applicant in the top 20 destinations ranking.
The preparation of the index was based on analyzing flight and hotel data from millions of global tourists, in order to determine destination rankings.
