Hamad International Airport Gives Advice to Travelers on Eid Al Fitr

Hamad International Airport advises all its departing passengers during the Eid Al Fitr holiday to check-in for their flights online and arrives at the airport 3 hours prior to departure to ensure a smooth travel experience.

The Airport officials stress that departing passengers must present the "Ehtiraz" app in green health status in order to travel.

To ensure the comfort and safety of departing and arriving passengers, entry to the airport will be restricted to persons traveling only, Therefore, the families of travelers are obligated to deliver and receive them within the short-term car parks and avoid parking on the side of the sidewalks.

Also, the first hour of short-term parking will be free, during the period from April 27 to May 2, 2022, and the usual tariff will be applied after the end of the first hour.

Furthermore, short-term parking will be free from May 5 to May 10 during the following hours which are from 5 am to 7 am, from 5 pm to 7 pm and from 11 pm to 3 am. As for the long-term parking service, it will not be available.

Hamad International Airport recommends that all travelers should familiarize themselves with the travel rules applicable in their countries of the destination so that they can seamlessly self-check-in at Hamad International Airport. The airport would like to remind its passengers that check-in desks for flights will be closed 60 minutes before the flight departure time.

Hamad International Airport reminds that passengers are prohibited from carrying any prohibited materials such as liquids, sprays, and gel preparations and that any package containing liquid materials must be wrapped in a transparent and re-sealable plastic bag for each package of 100 ml or less, Any electronic devices or equipment larger than the size of a mobile phone must be taken out of the bags and placed in the designated boxes for x-ray examination.

Passengers are also prohibited from carrying small trolleys powered by lithium batteries such as balance wheels. The airport is also advised to avoid pets as much as possible, And The airport advises passengers to wrap their bags in the parking facilities provided in the terminal.

Hamad International Airport advises all departing passengers to download the “HIA Qatar” mobile application, available for Android and iPhone systems, to obtain the latest updates and ensure a smoother travel experience by receiving notifications of the latest information and updates on flights, baggage, appointments, boarding gates, as well as Qatar Duty-Free offers for food, beverage, and shopping.

Hamad Airport recommends that travelers follow the directional signs inside the airport building and seek assistance from airport staff at any time. He also stressed the need for all travelers to wear face masks throughout their stay inside the airport, abide by the rules of physical distancing, and follow all preventive safety measures applied at the airport.
