The Eid Al Adha break for employees in the public and private sectors will begin on Tuesday, June 27th, and last until Saturday, July 1st. In Oman, Eid al Adha is an enjoyable holiday and there are lots of wonderful locations to see as well as activities for all ages.

1. Oman's Longest Zipline in Khasab in the Omani exclave of Musandam

The Omani town, which is well-known for its rocky mountain surroundings and authentic wooden dhow boat tours, has expanded its visitor attraction offers with the introduction of the zipline. Riders travel 1,800 meters from Jebel Fitt, flying over the Wilayat of Khasab's shoreline at up to 80 kph, and are verified by Guinness World Records as having the longest zipline over water.

2. Snow Oman

Snow Oman, The largest indoor snow park in the MENA region, and it is the only indoor snow attraction in the Sultanate. It is perfectly positioned in the Mall of Oman and covers an enormous 14,830m2 area. Among the more than 20 family-friendly rides and activities at this must-see location are a 430-meter ice rink and a penguinarium, which is home to a community of king and gentoo penguins.

3. Wadi Bani Khalid

Located about three hours from Muscat. Wadi Bani Khalid is the perfect location to celebrate Eid with family. Experience a beautiful trip across the Hajar Mountains, passing by quaint Omani communities and natural countryside. Take a trek through the Wadi to explore its breathtaking natural features, which include blue swimming pools, lush palm groves, and dramatic rock formations.

The museum, which is only 20 minutes from Nizwa or one hour and 40 minutes from Muscat, shows how Oman has evolved from its glorious history to the present and into a promising future.
