A group of 20 Indian expats rode 77 kilometers on their bicycles in Oman in celebration of the 77th Indian Independence Day.

The cyclists wore blue colors and rode through the streets of Muscat during the early morning hours.

They cycled from Ruwi to Al Mouj and back to the starting point in Ruwi.

A few of the group members joined from Al Khuwair, Azaiba, and other places until Al Mouj.

The group of expats are 25 to 65 years old and they are from varied professions.

One of the members of the group shared that the group has been taking special cycle trips on Indian Independence Day and Oman National Day for the past four years.

The group was formed in 2016 and they have been taking their cycle trips on these two events each year and every year, the group increases the distance they cycle for.

The riders hope to keep this tradition alive and one day cycle all the way to Sohar and back.
