Sultan of Oman, Palestinian Leader Discuss Gaza Peace Effort

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman held a phone call to talk about ways to end the war in Gaza and secure a permanent ceasefire.

During their conversation, both leaders stressed how urgent it is to keep humanitarian aid flowing into the Gaza Strip and to push for a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area. They agreed that peace efforts must continue and that protecting civilians should remain a top priority.
Sultan Haitham reaffirmed Oman’s long-standing support for the Palestinian cause. He expressed the Sultanate’s commitment to helping the Palestinian people reach their goal of freedom and independence.
The call comes at a critical time, as efforts continue regionally and internationally to bring an end to the violence and create a pathway to lasting peace in Gaza.
